Restorer Cover

Welcome to the MAFCA Web Site

The Model A Ford Club of America, Inc. (MAFCA) is dedicated to the restoration, preservation and enjoyment of the Ford Model A and AA cars and trucks, as manufactured from 1928 through 1931. We are an active, family-friendly organization whose members share a passion for these historic vehicles, plus other aspects of life in that era, such as fashions.

MAFCA is a not-for-profit corporation with members and local affiliated chapters all over the globe. This makes us the largest car club in the world dedicated to one make of automobile. We hope you enjoy looking through our site, and we invite you to join us!

January/February Restorer Delayed

January 17 - The printer of our Restorer magazines has notified us that the mailing of our January/February issue will be delayed until next week due to their reduced staffing caused by COVID-19.

Most of us will get our issues around the end of January or the first week in February.

For that reason, last year's password to the MEMBERS ONLY area will continue to work; the new password will be published on page 1 of the Jan/Feb issue and go into effect on February 1.

Website Feature of the Week - References

 picture

January 15 - Under the REFERENCES menu on the left side of each web page, you'll find several interesting topics.

When you have time, check the REFERENCES option in the left menu - there's a lot there that may interest you.

Changes Ahead

January 10 - It's a new year and a few changes are going to take place this year.

Starting January 15, any new website ads, calendar updates, and chapter updates that reach the webmaster by Thursday will be updated on Friday.

We're implementing these changes because our webmaster has announced his retirement at the end of 2022 and this new schedule will cut down on the many hours it takes each month to maintain the website. Therefore it will be easier to find a new webmaster.

We will still accept your photos for the A OF THE DAY - your photos will be acknowledged on the Friday after you submit them. We know that many of you enjoy doing the puzzles with these photos, so this feature will continue for your entertainment.

Era Fashion Article of the Month

January 3 - Every other month, a member of the Era Fashion Committee writes an article especially for the website. This month's article can be found on the Era Fashion Articles page.

Digital Restorer - Changing Email Address

December 9 - Each year when you renew your MAFCA membership, there's a place to state the email address you'd like to use for the Digital Restorer. If your address changes after you've renewed, simply send an email to info @ mafca.com and give your name, your membership number, your old email address, and the new email address.

Use your old email address until it stops working - then use your new address. Remember that the password is your 6-digit membership number. If you membership number has fewer digits, add zeros in front of it.

November 28 - Here's a photo that showed up on a Historical Photos website of a 1928 AA Truck converted into a Bookmobile by a local library in the Bronx, New York.

This is the first and only photo of a like vehicle that your webmaster has come across. Have you ever seen one?
Let me know. webmaster @ mafca.com
